Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Driver - Central Distribution Centre, Runnymede, Egham

Location – Runnymede Warehouse, Windsor Rd, Englefield Green, Egham TW20 0AE

Pay – competitive hourly rate plus excellent benefits

Contract – Full Time 38.5 hours per week

Working pattern - 4 on 4 off, shift times vary, earliest start 3am, latest finish 6pm - will be discussed at interview.

Please note our roles are on a rolling rota, and days do change every week. You will be provided with your rota 4 weeks in advance.


World Duty Free are looking for a Class 1 Driver to join their fast paced and dynamic team. You will play a crucial role supporting the delivery schedule as required by delivering to Airports & Retail Outlets, as well as working within the warehouse, unloading and sorting deliveries. 

As a driver, a good attention to detail and excellent time keeping is vital in this role to maintain the smooth running of the operation. If you have recent experience within the driving and warehouse industry and an enthusiasm for team work then we would love to hear from you.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Driving 18tonne / 26tonne / 44tonne WDF vehicles  to deliver stock airside & to retail outlets covering the whole of the UK up to Scotland 
  • Using the scanner equipment (hand-held guns) to consolidate & mark up stock
  • Consolidating cages and pallets with the use of pump trucks
  • Loading and unloading Lorries using the scissor lift


Experience:

  • A Class 1 (category C+E) driving licence is essential
  • Experience of working in a warehousing or despatch environment
  • Enthusiasm for physical, manual handling activity
  • Less than 6 points on your licence
  • Proven customer service skills
