Crohn's and Colitis UK is the UK’s leading charity in the battle against Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. We work to make life better for the 300,000 people in the UK with Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
Since our founding nearly 40 years ago, we’ve given hope to and helped transform the lives of thousands of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. To date, our staff and volunteers, led by a team of ambitious trustees and previous Chief Executives, have helped us become the UK’s leading charity entirely for people with Crohn’s and Colitis.
It’s an achievement we’re proud of. But there is so much more to be done.
We are now looking for a new Chief Executive to lead the next stage of our journey and drive the delivery of our 5-year strategic plan. Reporting to the Chair and working closely with the Board of Trustees, the new Chief Executive will inspire, coach and provide effective leadership to our talented Senior Management Team. With a natural ability to balance ambition with delivery, you will take the organisation to the next level by driving a culture of collective accountability and collaboration – all underpinned with integrity and compassion.
Based from the new head office in Hatfield, Herts., this role is about effective and impactful leadership; a desire and ambition to achieve great things and an opportunity to shape the future growth and success of Crohn’s and Colitis UK. Our new Chief Executive will be an amazing brand ambassador and spokesperson, sharing our success stories and fostering great relationships with relevant external organisations. You will partner with the Board ensuring the organisation fulfils its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities and you will lead by example inspiring all staff and volunteers to be ambitious, compassionate and stronger together.
Who You’ll Be
This is a charity where values aren’t just words on a page. They are lived, every day. We’re a little bit biased but we believe you won’t find a more ambitious, compassionate and collaborative team. Could you be our next Chief Executive? If you feel the above sounds like you then we would love to hear from you!
To apply for this position, please submit your CV to our retained Consultant, Lisa Wormald including details of your current remuneration package. Deadline for applications is Friday 28th September.
