Since opening its doors in Darlington over 35 years ago Northgate Vehicle Hire has grown a network of more than 70 branches spreading across the UK from Aberdeen down to Plymouth.  With growth comes opportunity!

We are now seeking a conscientious and dedicated customer services professional to join our existing team in Darlington.

The role

Working within our customer support centre alongside an established and experienced team, this role is all about providing excellent customer service! 

Be prepared to be busy as you’ll be handling ‘high volume’ inbound calls, offering advice and support to customers whilst taking ownership for resolving issues as necessary.  Utilising our in-house systems you’ll be entering data, keeping customer communications accurate and up to date at all times, ensuring efficient and effective handling of customer’s calls.

This is a full time permanent position working rotating shifts of 07.30 – 16.00 and 09.00 – 17.30.

               

Skills/Experience

A passion for providing excellent customer service and a friendly and professional communication style is what we are looking for!  With experience of working in an office based customer services role you will have the ability to work independently but also enjoy being part of a team. You and your colleagues will be working towards delivery targets so you’ll have the opportunity to utilise your impressive organisational skills in order to manage your daily tasks.

In order to successfully deliver the high standards of service that our customers have grown accustomed to and to become a valued member of our team and business we feel it is important for you to have:

  • a customer friendly communication style
  • a ‘can do’ and positive attitude
  • strong administrative skills
  • experience and knowledge of using database systems and software packages
  • a high level of attention to detail
  • customer service support/contact centre experience
