Workshop Engineer - Warrington

The job

You will be required to apply your industry skills and knowledge to make a real impact within the team and business by:

  • Servicing and repairing of our equipment as required in line with quotations and time frames
  • Identifying mechanical problems and highlighting any issues using technical knowledge and computerised diagnostic equipment, offering guidance and advice to management 
  • Attending any relevant product or systems training courses to ensure a high standard of competence required to efficiently complete duties
  • Work in accordance with Volvo Group UK standards of health, safety, quality and environmental care

What you’ll need

  • Construction, HGV or Agriculture industry experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy plant machinery
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural or HGV Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills and comprehensive understanding of hydraulics and electronics
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • High standards and attention to detail
