Hours: 8.45 - 5.15 Monday to Thursday and late surgery on Fridays with a later AM start time

Our family friendly Taptonville House practice has a unique opening for a qualified Dental Nurse, with excellent customer care skills.  Operating as a 'teaching' practice, we have 11 surgeries with a mixed community of students, trainees and qualified staff, including an 18-strong team of nurses, all working in an open and caring environment where professional development is encouraged and supported!   

The role

As a qualified Dental Nurse you'll have responsibility for all aspects of clinical support within the practice including but not limited to: 

  • providing chair-side assistance
  • ensuring the care and welfare of patients
  • keeping the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile
  • ensuring there is adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery
  • accurately completing and maintaining patient clinical records  
  • ensuring efficient surgery procedures are followed to achieve optimum utilisation of surgery time

Skills requirements

Our patients depend on us for their clinical care and by working closely with your team colleagues together you’ll strive to deliver the best professional dental care that is; friendly, compassionate and caring.

Our qualified Dental Nurse will:

  • have experience of providing NHS dental care in the UK
  • be GDC registered
  • have a personable and positive approach to customer service
  • be able to demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills
  • ideally have R4 experience (but not essential) 
  • enjoy working in a team of varying skill sets and levels
