Are you looking to start a rewarding career in Human Resources and Learning & Development? This is your chance to join DHL Global Forwarding’s busy HR team supporting training programmes and HR services across the UK. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience, a structured development path and an NVQ in Business Administration.


We’re DHL Global Forwarding (yep, part of that DHL). We help keep the world running by moving everything from fashion and food to tech and medicine across air, land, and sea. Now, we’re looking for a motivated apprentice to join our HR team in Staines.


Location:     Staines

Contract:    c.24-Month Contract with potential to become permanent*

Hours:     Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm – some flex

Hybrid:     on successful completion of probation

Starting Salary: £15,600 rising on successful completion of 3 months’ probation with a further increase on completion of first year (£18000 - 23,000 depending on age)

What you’ll do

  • Provide learning advice and support via telephone, email, and face-to-face
  • Manage and maintain employee data using automated and manual systems
  • Handle enrolments, course rostering, waitlists, and completions
  • Liaise with managers and trainers to plan training sessions and coordinate venues, catering, accommodation, and joining instructions
  • Create process guides and documentation
  • Provide general support to the wider HR team 


What you’ll need

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs including English and Maths
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail and results-driven approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects independently
  • Confident user of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Eligibility to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for this role
