Job title - Vehicle Technician Apprentice (Level 3)

Location - Quarry Close, Nanpean, St Austell and Truro & Penwith College (Truro campus)


Hours of work - 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day, working Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm 

(Working 4 days a week at Imerys and attending 1 day at College)

Please note you may also be required to work shift patterns once you start to spend more time on site.


Starting Salary – £13,311

The apprenticeship follows the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) standard. Starting in September 2024, this apprenticeship will be delivered over a 36-42 month duration, consisting of a combination of attendance at college along with work-based learning, in order to gain practical skills and experience. You will be provided with training & gain knowledge on servicing, repair and maintenance on vehicles & equipment used in an industrial environment, whilst always working safely and adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.

What we ask you in return:


You will have an aptitude for this type of work and a strong desire to progress and become a Vehicle Technician. You will be reliable and punctual, be able to follow instructions and guidance, as well as:


  • Have GCSEs Grade 4 (or equivalent) and above to include English, Maths and Science
  • Legally be able to drive in the UK, or willing to obtain a driving license. 
  • Be IT literate and have excellent communication skills. 
  • Applicants will need to have Right to Work in the UK.
