Role: Process Development Technician 
Salary: Competitive 
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday
Location: St Austell, Cornwall – Relocation costs covered - up to £3000

The role: As a Senior Lab Technician, you will provide support to the Analytical Laboratory Manager in developing new analytical method projects, setting up new instrumentation, performing analytical approved test methods and reporting results to customers.

This is a great opportunity as you will be given sole responsibility for a defined part of the project working with the Analytical Laboratory Manager.

What we ask in return:

  • It is essential you have a BSc in Chemistry/Science.
  • To ideally have an MSc in Chemistry, Science or Materials Science
  • A minimum of three years experience working within a laboratory environment, including the safe use of laboratory equipment and chemicals
  • Experience with working with ICP-OES and ICP-MS instruments is a must, ideally knowledge of Mineralogy
  • Ideally preferred experience in Rietveld semi-quantitative analysis
  • To manage your own workload and collaborate with your co-workers and Manager in maintaining steady turnaround times for requested work
  • To assure level of competence by identifying suitable training and development opportunities
  • To prepare samples for testing and carry out examinations using a variety of analytical methods
  • To be able to work in a precise and accurate manner at all times
