About SMT

My client SMT GB are looking for an experienced and Level 3 qualified plant maintenance Engineer or HGV Mechanic to join their team covering the South Essex and North East London.

SMTGB markets and distributes Volvo Construction Equipment including wheeled loaders, articulated haulers, hydraulic excavators, and utility and road equipment products across the UK.

About the Role

As a mobile engineer you’ll be attending breakdowns as well as carrying out services, maintenance, repairs and overhauls on Volvo heavy plant and machinery at customer sites.

Key Requirements 

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-based engineering or HGV Maintenance
• Mechanical experience in construction or heavy plant machinery
• Proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electronics
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship
