As a Customs Bureau Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing the customs process for both air and ocean shipments. You’ll build strong partnerships with our customers and collaborate with some of the most experienced customs professionals in the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monday to Friday - 14.00 to 22.00
• Completing and submitting customs declarations
• Preparing and reviewing customs documentation (packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills)
• Providing customers with shipment updates
• Offering customs guidance to customers, authorities, and internal stakeholders
• Resolving disputes, inspections, or customs delays
• Determining tariff classifications and calculating duties, taxes, and fees

About You

• Ideally you’ll have experience in customs/imports/exports administration, processes, and systems such as:
• E-Customs, Cargowise, ICE, ASM Sequoia or Trade Tariff
• Import administration: C21’s, NCH, reduced duty rates, Y Codes, VAT Adjustment, Post Clearance Amendment
• Export administration: NCTS/T1’s, Transit Guarantee/Discharge, Export Control/Licences, Commodity verification

In addition, you’ll:

• Be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship (now or in the future)
• Have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Be confident using MS Outlook
