We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis to be based out of our Peterborough office.

As a Finance Assistant you will work closely with your finance colleagues, and teams across the wider firm to provide an outstanding level of service when processing and producing routine and non-routine accounting and financial information. You will have exceptional attention to detail and great communication skills.

This role would suit someone just starting out in the world of finance administration or with about a years’ worth of experience under their belt, although we will not discount you if you have more! Here at Greenwoods we are invested in your future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing out-of-pocket and petty cash expense claims.
• Processing receipts for banking and payments for authorisation, obtaining payment authorisation from mandated Partners and then releasing those payments.
• Reconciling bank accounts daily and entering receipts and payments on the firm’s accounting system. 
• Running reports weekly, monthly, quarterly to meet the needs of the firm.
• Ad hoc support to the finance team as required.

You will have a desire to learn about the finance procedures and systems required in a legal environment. You also will enjoy building relationships with colleagues, and work as a team to deliver an excellent finance service. For this role meticulous attention to detail is a must, as well as being a great communicator; a confident telephone manner to engage with our clients and internal stakeholders is required.

Qualifications: 

GCSEs Maths and English grade C or above
