The job role:


Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you’ll be part of a busy team responsible for the accurate and timely payment of salaries, administering absence and supporting employees with any payroll related queries.


In addition, you’ll:


  • Ensure that payroll deadlines are met/ adhered to
  • Process starter and leaver information
  • Adjust payments accordingly for sick pay or any other statutory payments
  • Complete and return payroll data to HMRC, pension providers, Courts Service, Office of National Statistics and Child Support Agency
  • Assist with year-end processes/ reporting
  • Develop payroll processes, procedures, and system updates.

You will:


Attention to detail and being organised is key in this role! You will have experience of working as a payroll professional, having previously worked within a busy, fast-paced environment. It is advantageous if you have a qualification in Payroll, however not essential, as experience is key!


In addition, you’ll have:


  • Experience of payroll and pension processing, along with knowledge of Benefit taxation implications 
  • Have knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience in dealing with DWP, HMRC, and Courts 
  • Working knowledge of RTI and Auto Enrolment
  • Payroll software knowledge: Workday would be ideal but not essential
