Field Service Engineer

Monday to Wednesday 08.00 – 16.30 Thursday 08.00 – 16.00 Fridays 8.00 - 15.30

Our client SMT GB are looking for an experienced Field based Engineer to join their well-established and professional team of engineers at Horsham to cover customers across North West London.

The Role

• Carry out service, repairs and overhauls on Volvo heavy plant and machinery including wheeled loaders, articulated haulers, hydraulic excavators, and utility.
• Identify mechanical problems, using technical knowledge and computerized diagnostic equipment
• Ensure software updates are installed.
• Complete tablet inputs, electronic reports and timesheets in ‘real time’ providing comprehensive details of the work undertaken.
• Order parts for your work as necessary

Requirements 

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-based engineering, agricultural or HGV Maintenance
• Mechanical experience in construction or heavy plant machinery
• Proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electronics
• Located North West London inside the M25
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship
