Paralegal

Department: Abuse 

Salary: £23809.50 per annum, plus an on-target bonus

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Abuse department to assist on case files and to help support the day to day running of the team.

The team work with people who have suffered sexual and/or physical abuse as children, so this position requires someone with a mix of both excellent interpersonal skills to help support our clients and their families as well as a strong understanding of procedures and protocols.

This role is on a hybrid working arrangement with 2/3 days working from the Manchester office.

Key responsibilities would include:

• Drafting Letters of Claim, Claim Forms and Court Forms
• Answering client calls, responding to queries, and providing updates
• Helping prepare instructions to Counsel
• Preparing Trial Bundles
• Reviewing expert reports
• Arranging meetings and appointments for the fee earners
• General organisation and upkeep of files
  
  

Importantly, you will have an empathetic nature in order to deal with the type of work and injury that our clients have suffered. Some experience as a personal injury/litigation or legal aid would be beneficial, but not essential.

We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail who can balance the case work and will build relationships with the clients.
