Paralegal – Abuse
Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 2/3 days in-office)
Salary: A competitive salary (DOE) plus an on target bonus

At Simpson Millar, we’re looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our Abuse Department, supporting a team that works with clients who have experienced childhood sexual and/or physical abuse. This is a highly sensitive and rewarding area of law, requiring someone with both exceptional interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of legal procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting Letters of Claim, Claim Forms, and Court Forms
• Responding to client queries and providing case updates
• Preparing instructions to Counsel Compiling Trial Bundles and reviewing expert reports
• Scheduling meetings and appointments for fee earners Maintaining accurate and organised case files

What We’re Looking For:

• A compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues
• Previous experience in abuse, legal aid or working with vulnerable people is essential
