We are looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant who has c.1-2 years’ experience and comes with a strong flair for design. You’ll join a successful and growing team within our marketing department in a varied and interesting role.

So why should you be interested in working for Simpson Millar?

Well despite what the pandemic has brought we've grown and continued our path towards being one of the key consumer law firms in the UK. We want to build on the opportunities that has given us. You’ll work alongside industry experts who can help to shape and develop your career, giving you the coaching and mentoring that will allow you to flourish.

In addition, we offer the opportunity to work from home, or in the office up to 2 days per week (there's no obligation to be in the office) - so there’s flexibility and a grown-up workplace.

On top of all that we’re offering a basic salary of c.£21,000 and a meritocratic environment which offers everyone the opportunity to progress based on their own capabilities and strengths.

So what can you expect from the role?

The creative element is key:

  • Designing online banners, providing creative resource for the business creating and designing marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, emails, social media banners, press ads and direct mail campaigns.
  • Getting involved with branding projects
  • Use of Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator on a daily basis

Also there's a commercial element:

  • Maintaining an eye on specific opportunities for the firm to develop new business
  • Assisting with campaign management to help create new business

And who would this role suit?

Someone with a design and/or marketing background, a graduate who did an extended placement in their degree, or someone with 1-2 years’ experience of a similar role – not necessarily in the legal industry as we can help you with that. You'll need to have experience with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or a similar design programme with specific experience in the design of documents. What’s really important is having the right attitude. This is a fast moving firm in a competitive environment, so you’ll need to be enthusiastic, be happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved, and be able to work independently without someone having to micro-manage your every step.

If this sounds like you then we’d be keen to hear from you. Please send us a copy of your CV and our recruitment team will be in touch.
