Head of Human Resources - Senior Leadership Team | C-Suite Interface
We are supporting our client in appointing a Head of Human Resources to a critical senior leadership role. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position has end-to-end accountability for the people strategy across the business, and with close collaboration across European stakeholders.
This is a high-impact role suited to a seasoned HR leader who can balance strategic influence with operational depth, and who has experience navigating post-merger integration, organisational change, and HR transformation
Role Scope & Impact
Responsible for shaping and delivering a people strategy that supports business performance, growth, and cultural alignment, the Head of HR will balance strategic leadership with operational excellence, ensuring people initiatives are commercially focused, legally compliant, and aligned to the long-term business strategy. Key accountabilities include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team on all people, culture, and organisational matters
- Leading post-merger HR integration activity, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones
- Driving a high-performance culture through leadership capability, engagement, and robust performance management
- Full ownership of Employee Relations, reward, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, and governance
- Oversight of talent strategy including attraction, employer branding, onboarding, succession, and retention
- Leading major HR transformation programmes, including shared services design, HR systems and platform upgrades, Centres of Excellence, and Learning & Development infrastructure
- Ensuring strong compliance, audit readiness, and high-quality people data to inform board and executive decision-making
Candidate profile
- Experienced HR leader with the credibility and gravitas to operate at executive level, and influence decision-making. You will bring:
- CIPD/equivalent qualified – ideally Level 7
- Minimum 3 years’ experience at Head of HR or Senior HR Business Partner level within a complex organisation
- Technical expertise across ER, recruitment, reward, performance management, talent and knowledge of UK employment law
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align people strategy to business outcomes
- Track record of leading organisational change and post-merger integration
- A people-centred leadership style combined with resilience, pragmatism, and emotional intelligence
