We now have an opportunity for a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join us in a newly created role within our existing structure in Immingham.
If you have experience in construction, HGV or agriculture heavy plant machinery servicing and maintenance, and would like support in obtaining your NVQ Level 3, this could be the role for you.

Your responsibilities would include:
- Maintenance, service, and inspection of our Volvo heavy plant construction machinery.
- Completion of systems and paperwork which would include but not limited to the following reports
- oil sample
- component failure
- service inspection
- matrix readouts
- Work in line with quotations and time guides, highlighting to management where additional work may be required.
- Ensuring a high standard of competence and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Working in accordance with Volvo Group UK standards of health, safety, quality and environmental care.

‘So – you’ve read the advert and are interested in joining us as a Field Service or Planned Maintenance Engineer? You have plenty of experience in another industry, but no formal qualifications? You may even have talked to us previously but not been successful? SMT has recently launched its new NVQ programme, which means you can join us as Field Service or Planned Maintenance Engineer from day 1 and we will help you build experience on construction equipment, all while we fully support you to obtain your NVQ qualification.
