We want to hear from you if you have proven working knowledge and experience in a mechanical environment. You may have worked as a technician or fitter in plant or another industry for example HGV, agriculture, or an automotive role. You might be newly qualified, fully qualified or time served and you’re eager to learn and develop within a rapidly growing company.

You will be responsible for effectively and safely carrying out the fitting of parts on brand new plant machinery in a lovely, modern and clean workshop environment, prior to a pre-delivery inspection. Working to the highest standards you'll be carrying out the following: machine checks and local preparation, including fitting buckets, vandal guards, radios, reverse cameras, and any other extras requested by our customers, uploading digital reports, providing comprehensive details of work completed and work in accordance with SMT GB standards of health and safety, quality, and environmental care.

We offer a fantastic package which includes a recently uplifted hourly rate, 12.5% weekly shift allowance, overtime, annual bonus, generous company pension contribution, medical and dental cash plan for you and your family (children up to age 18), retail discounts and 33 days annual leave. You'll be on an early/late shift pattern which rotates weekly: 06:00 - 14:30 or 13:30 - 22:00 Monday to Wednesday, 06:00 - 14:00 or 13:00 - 21:00 Thursday and 06:00 - 13:30 or 12:30 - 20:00 Friday.
