37.5 hours per week | Sun – Thu | 14:00 to 22:00 | Hayes, Greater London

You will play a significant role in overseeing the customs process for both air and ocean shipments. Not only will you be working with our biggest well-known customers; you will also be collaborating with our team of experienced customs professionals– some of the best in the business!

Your role as a Customs Clerk:

•    Prepare and review documentation required for both air and sea import and export processes, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading/airway bills

•    Complete and submit accurate customs declarations to ensure compliance with international and UK trade regulations

•    Communicate with customers, customs authorities & internal stakeholders, providing regular clear updates on the status of shipments and offering guidance on customs-related matters

•    Efficiently resolve any issues that occur relating to disputes, inspections or customs delays and communicate to relevant parties involved

•    Determine appropriate tariff classifications for goods based on customs codes and calculate applicable duties, taxes, and fees.

About you - you will have:

•    Previous experience within a logistics/freight environment

•    Knowledge of customs, imports or export processes (desirable), ideally in air or sea freight

•    A high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and efficiently manage workload

•    Experience in a fast-paced office environment, with customer contact
