As our International Life Sciences (ILS) Air Export Operations Specialist, you’ll be working in a team of experienced freight professionals, administering the end-to-end process of air freight export operations that focus on International Life Sciences shipments – pharmaceutical and medical goods including temperature-controlled. Activity will include:


    Coordinating the movement of pharmaceutical/medical goods through air freight

    Quoting and booking Air Freight options 

    Ensuring compliance with Customs, customer SOPs, temperature requirements and UK GDP regulations 

    Preparing and processing export documentation: air waybills, customs declarations, packing lists and invoices

    Tracking shipments and coordinating with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics providers 

    Liaising with DHL Global Forwarding’s overseas offices on shipment planning 

    Providing updates and guidance to customers on shipment status, shipping options, export regulations

    Liaising with Carriers and Handling Agents to resolve exceptions and discrepancies

    Preparing quotes, invoices and billing 


What we are looking for:


    Operational Freight Forwarding experience is essential ideally Air Freight export operations 

    Knowledge of shipping of Pharmaceuticals/Temperature Controlled goods desirable however training can be provided 

    Experience of HMRC procedures and knowledge of CDS is beneficial

    A high attention to detail and accuracy 

    Ability to efficiently manage workload

    Confident working in a fast-paced office environment with customer contact

    Strong IT skills including use of Excel, Outlook and in house systems
