This role is all about attracting and attaining new business through sales development, relationship building, engagement activities and great customer experience and with DHL Global Forwarding, one of the world's top freight forwarders with competitive bespoke solutions, you'll be well-equipped to secure sales success.
Ocean freight – new business
Focussing on sales of DHL Global Forwarding’s Ocean Freight services you’ll be identifying new markets and potential customers, networking and cold calling. With a consultative sales approach you’ll be attending meetings to gain an understanding of your customers’ needs, making recommendations, preparing proposals, conducting contract negotiations and closing new deals.
Managing your own schedule, whilst a field-based role, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home, at our Glasgow branch and from customers’ offices.
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Covering central and north Scotland
What we are looking for
Your passion for driving business growth, getting results and proven sales achievement within a freight forwarding environment is essential. You’ll also have strong network of contacts and knowledge of local markets and industries within the freight forwarding sector.
Travel across your region is involved therefore a full UK drivers’ licence is required.
