DHL Global Forwarding UK (DGF) is looking for an Air Freight Import Agent to join the Glasgow-based team. The Role

Our Air Imports Team are critical to ensure the effective coordination of shipments from origin to destination, obtaining customs clearance and working to meet customer requirements. Working within a fast-paced team where efficiency and compliance are of the utmost importance, you’ll:


  • Use Cargowise to create, manage and maintain Airfreight shipments end-to-end
  • Review and transmit Customs Entry records 
  • Liaise with DGF branches and Transport & Warehouse teams on shipment coordination
  • Liaise with Carriers and Handling Agents to resolve discrepancies 
  • Adhere to Customs Compliance procedures as well as the Duty & VAT payment policy


About you 

With experience from a similar role, you will have a clear understanding of the principles of logistics and practical knowledge of handling and managing the movement of imported (or exported) air freight. We will also consider import and export experience in Ocean freight. In addition, you’ll have:


  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of the importance of compliance
  • The ability to prioritise workload and perform under pressure
  • The right to live and work in the UK without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
