DHL Global Forwarding UK are looking for an Operations and Customer Service Agent to join their busy Ocean Imports Team (Wine Imports) in Felixstowe. This is a Full Time, Monday to Friday position, working 9am to 5:30pm.


Our Ocean Imports Team (Wine Imports) play a crucial role in effectively coordinating wine shipments from origin (global wine producers) right through to destination, whilst successfully working to meet customer SLAs. You will be working within a fast-paced team where efficiency and compliance is at the upmost importance. As an Operations and Customer Service Agent, you will understand the significance of clear communication, solid customer relationships, complex procedures and working to tight deadlines.  


Your role as an Operations and Customer Service Agent

  • Coordinate the shipping of wine imports from origin to destination, ensuring customers are frequently updated.
  • Accept all orders and take full responsibility for their successful completion including origin management, and delivery
  • Professionally handle all customer inquiries, registering any customer issues and implementing solutions within a timely manner
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy across all tasks including order processing, data entry and shipping documentation

To be considered you will need:

  • Exceptional customer service skills with strong communication with your team and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge or understanding of Ocean freight forwarding
  • The ability to problem-solve whilst working to strict deadlines
  • Computer skills including basic-intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • To be process driven with great attention to detail and understanding of the importance of compliance
  • To prioritise workload and perform under pressure
