The Opportunity

As a Systems Engineer, you'll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary Integrated Product Team, working alongside Mechanical, Electronics and Software Engineers to develop complex safety-critical aerospace systems.

You'll apply systems engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle, supporting requirements capture, system architecture, integration, verification and validation activities to ensure our products meet customer, regulatory and internal standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of aerospace programmes while developing your technical expertise within a supportive and highly collaborative engineering environment.

This role is based at our Denham site, with hybrid working considered following the probation period (6 months).

What You'll Do

• Apply systems engineering processes and methodologies across the full product lifecycle.
• Capture, analyse and manage stakeholder and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain system and sub-system requirements, ensuring full traceability.
• Contribute to system architecture, functional analysis and design activities.
• Support integration, verification and validation activities from concept through to qualification.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and engineering evidence.
• Participate in technical reviews, design reviews and customer meetings.
• Support investigations, technical problem-solving and ongoing product airworthiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering quality, safety and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Systems Engineering or a relevant STEM discipline.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Experience managing system requirements, verification and traceability.
• Understanding of systems architecture, integration and verification activities.
• Knowledge of systems engineering standards and engineering lifecycle processes.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple engineering activities.
• A proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Experience within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated industry (desirable).
• Knowledge of SysML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or equivalent tools (desirable).
• Share and demonstrate the Martin-Baker values.
