The Opportunity


Are you a skilled Plant Fitter or Field Service Engineer with experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction machinery? If you're based in Cheshire and looking for a field-based role with a supportive team, great benefits, and clear career development—this is your chance.


Our client, a respected distributor of construction equipment, is expanding their field service team. You'll cover sites across Cheshire, supporting customers and reporting to the Warrington depot.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Service, repair, and maintain heavy plant machinery at customer locations
  • Diagnose faults in hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines using diagnostic tools
  • Carry out software updates and keep accurate records of work done
  • Keep your van well-organised with the right parts and tools
  • Deliver a high standard of service that keeps equipment running and customers happy


What You’ll Need


  • Based in Cheshire with willingness to travel locally
  • Experience working with heavy plant, agricultural machinery, or HGVs
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ or City & Guilds) in Plant, Agricultural, HGV or Mechanical Engineering
  • Full UK driving licence, your own toolkit, and the right to work in the UK
