Looking for a chance to join an industry leader like DHL, with exposure to working with high profile customers and giving you an opportunity to make an impact on business growth?

DHL Global Forwarding have a newly created role, a hybrid of sales, account management and analytics. You’ll be the first to step into this role, spotting new business potential within our existing CSI customer base of over 100 large multi-million-pound corporate companies.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll receive a competitive annual salary, along with our generous employee bonus scheme, a company car (or car allowance) and access to an extensive range of DHL benefits.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5.30pm.

You will be predominantly working in the field, visiting your local DHL Global Forwarding branch, customer offices, and will be working from home, so you’ll benefit from building a schedule to fit around you.

What will you be doing?

You will work directly with our existing high profile (CSI) customer base, carrying out a blend of business analysis, solution design, sales channel support and customer facing sales, utilising your creative and commercial based skills.

Reporting to the Head of Network Business Development, you will work on maximising business opportunities from our CSI customers and other cross business unit customers.

You will work closely with General Cluster Managers and Regional Customer Managers (Europe), developing business solutions that utilise DGF services to help solve customer’s logistical problems and building competitive advantage.

Along with other sales colleagues, you will attend customer meetings, conducting detailed business proposal presentations, highlighting the best tailor-made solution to benefit their requirements. You will be crucial in identifying business opportunities, passing these over to the sales teams to close.

Your role goes beyond a frontline sales role as you will use your analytical skills to produce a detail development and growth plan for all CSI customers, assess their needs and identifying their bid cycles.

You will also provide frequent sales updates to the Senior Management Team at DHL GF.

What experience will you need?

Ideally, you will have experience within the freight forwarding industry as you’ll be required to answer complex industry-related questions from our high-profile customers, however, experience within a different area of logistics would also be considered.

You do not need to have a comprehensive sales background, but you will need to be commercially orientated, analytical and a confident communicator (as you’ll be speaking to senior professionals across multi-million-pound organisations)

As this role involves a lot of travel nationally and, occasionally internationally, you must have a full UK driver’s license.

Whether you’re in a sales role looking for a break into a larger organisation or perhaps you’re in a dead end commercial/analytical role looking for the next challenge.
