At Martin-Baker, we design and manufacture life-saving technology ejection seats that protect aircrew around the world. We’re now looking for an experienced NDT Radiography Supervisor to lead our X-ray, Leak Test, and Part Marking departments in a critical quality-focused role.

How you’ll make an impact

You’ll lead a skilled team ensuring consistent output, quality, and on-time delivery across our NDT and pyrotechnic inspection areas. With your technical insight and leadership, you’ll maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising daily activity, KPIs, and team performance
• Conducting audits, appraisals, and Health & Safety checks
• Leading problem-solving and process improvements
• Coaching and developing staff to achieve operational excellence
• Managing radiographic techniques and standards (if qualified)

About you

We’re looking for a hands-on leader with both technical expertise and a people-first approach. You’ll bring:

• Proven supervisory or people management experience (essential)
• Background in manufacturing supervision (aerospace, defence, or precision engineering)
• Strong knowledge of NDT processes
• RT Qualification (X-ray/gamma rays)
• Certification to NAS410 / EN4179 standards
• Engineering degree, HND, or equivalent
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

The Interview Journey

A three-stage process: initial in-depth screening call with your Recruitment Business Partner, followed by a structured 1st stage interview, and final stage with a short presentation to senior management, including a trade test to assess engineering knowledge through a basic practical test.
