Start with a classic Friday midday finish while you master the craft (Mon–Thu 08:00–16:45, Fri 08:00–12:00).

Once you’re a fully trained expert (typically after 6 months), you’ll transition to our 4-on, 4-off shift pattern. That means working just 177 days a year with a generous Shift Allowance added to your salary. More money, more time off, more balance.

You won’t just be "assembling parts." You will be building the pyrotechnic cartridges that power Martin-Baker ejection seats. When a pilot needs to exit in a heartbeat, your precision is what makes it happen. To date, our technology has saved over 7,725 lives.

The Role: High-Stakes Precision

Working within our specialised Cartridge and Rocket team, you will be responsible for the "Proof" phase—the final, vital check before life-saving equipment leaves our doors. You will:

• Arm & Fire: Prepare, arm, and fire cartridges within specialised test chambers.
• Analyse: Monitor test results to ensure every unit meets our lifesaving standards.
• Mechanical Rigging: Use hand tools and spanners to assemble test chambers and prepare them for high-pressure firing.
• Active Engineering: This is a physical, hands-on role that includes maintaining test equipment and managing the cleaning/resetting of firing chambers.

Who You Are

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist, but you do need a mechanical soul. We’re looking for:

• The Hands-on Fixer: You’re likely the person who works on their own car or enjoys mechanical hobbies. If you’ve worked in assembly or manufacturing, you’ll fit right in.
• Detail Driven: You take pride in following strict instructions to the letter—there is no room for "near enough" in our world.
• Technically Minded: You can read a drawing and understand basic data.
