Workshop Plant Engineer

If you're a qualified Plant Engineer with hands-on experience in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of heavy machinery, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a secure and rewarding role with great long-term prospects.

You’ll be based at a modern depot in Brownhills, working on a wide range of machines from excavators to dump trucks—carrying out everything from fault-finding to full rebuilds.

The Role:

• Service and repair a range of construction plant equipment

• Carry out diagnostics on hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines

• Complete machine overhauls, warranty work, and preventative maintenance

• Use laptop-based diagnostic tools and OEM systems

• Accurately complete service records, parts orders, and reports

• Support and collaborate with a skilled and friendly workshop team

What You’ll Need:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant, HGV, Agricultural, or Mechanical Engineering

• Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics

• Confident using diagnostic software and fault-finding tools

• Your own toolkit

• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

• Welding or fabrication experience is an advantage but not essential
