Our client SMTGB has a vacancy for a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to carry out essential planned maintenance and servicing of heavy construction mobile plant. 

This is a field-based role covering East of Birmingham (some flexibility in the region) where you will be working on large mobile plant such as wheeled loaders, articulated haulers, hydraulic excavators, and utility and road equipment, carrying out anything from a 500-hour service on a 90-tonne excavator to a routine check-up on a small digger. 

Requirements: 

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or Land-based engineering 
• Mechanical experience working on heavy plant machinery 
• Ability to work without supervision to a high standard 
• Full UK driving licence 
• Right to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship 

Hours: 38.5 hours pw: Mon to Wed 8 am to 4.30 pm, Thurs 8 am to 4 pm, Fri 8 am to 3.30 pm
