What you’ll be doing

With a focus on Ocean Freight, you’ll be identifying freight service sales opportunities with businesses across the South West. Managing your own schedule, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home, at our Bristol branch (near Severn Beach) and at customers’ offices. 

•    Identifying and acting on new business opportunities  

•    Creating and presenting bespoke solutions to potential customers

•    Contract negotiations, closing new deals

•    Participating in the implementation phase and ensuring a smooth handover to branch teams 

•    Establishing collaborative inter departmental relationships 

•    Maintaining relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business 

•    Updating pipelines of opportunities generated from leads

Experience required

•    Business development/sales within a freight forwarding environment is essential

•    Multimodal freight services knowledge must include Ocean freight

•    Knowledge of local markets and industries and contacts within freight/logistics sector

•    A full UK driver’s licence is required as this role involves travel
