The Role:


Looking to put your hands-on engineering skills to better use? Join a respected industry leader in construction equipment as a Field Service Engineer and enjoy a varied, independent role covering the North West (Blackburn, Bolton, Oldham), supported by a great team at the Warrington depot.


You’ll be out on the road with a fully equipped van, tackling breakdowns, servicing heavy equipment, and solving technical issues for customers that rely on your expertise.

Your Day-to-Day:


  • Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrics.
  • Perform on-site servicing, inspections, and software updates.
  • Maintain accurate records via a mobile service app.
  • Order parts, manage van stock, and liaise with the support team.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Strong background in plant, HGV, agricultural, or military equipment maintenance.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, diagnostics, and diesel systems.
  • UK driving licence and own toolkit.
  • Comfortable working alone, with strong fault-finding skills.
