What will you be doing?  

As a Service Engineer for Daikin UK, you will be working within a team of Regional Service Engineers dealing with technical service queries from customers and colleagues. You will attend various sites across the Midlands to service, commission, diagnose, replace, and repair components to work towards a successful and sustainable resolution. Your working day will involve:

  • Attending sites (commercial and domestic) to commission Daikin systems in line with the design brief
  • Attending customer sites (commercial and domestic) to diagnose technical issues, interacting with the client (dealer, consultant, and end user)
  • Identifying potential product or instillation errors and share will colleagues and escalate to quality/service management
  • Carrying out risk assessments for all site visits before work is started and decide if it is safe to proceed with the job.
  • Producing detailed written reports for submission to the customer and to the regional service managers
  • Conducting risk assessments for all site visits and ensure health & safety is always followed
  • Work as a technical advisor for all product types to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers, dealers, and end users via the telephone

The Ideal Candidate:

You will have experience in the HVAC industry to include fault finding, service and commissioning and you will be confident in providing telephone support to on-site Engineers via the help desk to ensure a successful resolution is met.

You will be familiar with Daikin products, and you will be confident in providing technical advice on some of the following products: 

  • DX (Direct expansion system)  VRV, Skyair, Split & Multi Split systems
  • Heating – Altherma, Solar Thermal, Hybrid Systems, and combustion boilers
  • Applied - Daikin air and water cooled chillers, and refrigeration systems CVP/ZEA
  • Controls – Daikin control systems ITC, ITM, BANCNET, LON and Modbus controllers
