Description & Requirements

We currently have a vacancy for a Management Accounts Manager to join our Finance team based from the Customer Support Centre in Aston, Birmingham.

Reporting into the Head of Operational Finance, you will have considerable input into the production of the monthly management accounts for the Company. This includes entries relating to the operating centres and also for the overhead cost centres. You will also have responsibility for managing a team of two.

Main Responsibilities include:

·        Ensuring timely and accurate production of all cost centres trading and profit and loss account entries.

·        Sales, cost of sales and overhead accruals.

·        Overhead variance analysis in conjunction with the Commercial Finance team.

·        Reconciliation of sales and gross profit to statistics.

·        Investigating and responding to queries raised from operating centres and overhead cost centres.

·        Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts.

·        Accounting systems maintenance.

·        Authorising bank payments.

·        Other adhoc accountancy related duties as required.

The Person:

You will work closely with other members of the Finance team and internal colleagues around the business, so building good working relationships is key to this role.

With advanced Microsoft Excel skills, you be willing to take ownership and responsibility for problem resolution, deliver to timescales, have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.

You will have previous experience in a similar Finance role within a fast paced environment and will be a qualified accountant with a recognised accounting qualification.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of general accounting systems and come from a strong technical background, with knowledge of relevant financial and administrative legislative requirements.
